Music Lessons in Belleville, Ontario.

Established in 1967, Arden's Music is one of the most trusted names in music education in Ontario. 

Originally opened as an accordion school in a small location on Church St. by Arden Lewis, our Belleville location has been proudly serving the Quinte area for over 50 years! As that small school grew, so did the need for a reputable instrument retailer. Eventually moving to a bigger location on Front St, and finally settling into the current location on College St W in 1986. We have been a proud mainstay in the community and continue to provide top notch instruction to our students, after all, that's how we started!

OUR TEACHERS

 Beverly Dafoe: Piano 

Beverly is the longstanding core piano teacher in the Belleville location and a very active member in the RCM, Rotary, and many other local musical groups. Beverly has been teaching at Arden's since 1967. Her main focus is RCM Piano.
 

  Cathy Falcone: Piano, Guitar, Bass

Cathy is a life long piano player focusing mainly on classical RCM branching out to jazz and contemporary every now and again. Once an active member in various local heavy rock bands, Cathy enjoys playing original tunes as well as covers on guitar and bass.

   Courtney Keywan: Guitar, Piano, Drums

Courtney is a graduate of New England Conservatory Of Music and has been teaching and performing for most of his life. Courtney has been teaching at Arden's since 2020. His main focus is Rock, & Jazz.
 

  Ernie Chrysler: Drums, Guitar 

Ernie studied drums and percussion at Cambrian College and has been performing and teaching for most of his life. Ernie has been teaching at Arden's since 2002. His main focus is Rock, Metal, Jazz & Latin.
 

 Janice Scott: Piano

Janice has been a longstanding member of our core piano teaching staff. She has been teaching for Arden's since 2010. Her main focus is Contemporary & RCM. 
 

   Jessica Dore: Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano (Junior)

Jessica is a graduate of the music program at Queen's University and has been teaching and performing in the area for many years. She has been teaching at Arden's since 2022. Her main focus is Classical, Funk, and Jazz.
 

     Louise Ford: Piano, Vocal, Guitar, Ukulele, Accordion

Louise studied accordion under Arden Lewis and proceeded to become proficient in many instruments after. Louise has been teaching at Arden's since 2014. She is also the music director for Albury Church, St Joseph's Church, and the former leader of Shout Sister Choir. Her main focus is Contemporary, Folk, & Classical Guitar.
 

  Mark Bond: Piano, Violin, Flute, Trumpet

Mark was a longtime student at Arden's before moving around to perform, eventually becoming the Music Director for Second City in Toronto. He has been teaching at Arden's since 2022. His main focus is Contemporary, & Musical Theatre.
 

    Ron Nicholas: Guitar, Piano, Mandolin, Banjo

Ron got his start studying classical guitar & from there branched out to spend years on the road in touring bands. He has been teaching at Arden's since 2008. His main focus is Blues, Rock, Folk, and Bluegrass.
 

 Tyera Steeves: Vocal 

Tyera is a graduate of the Musical Performance program at St. Lawerence College.  She has been performing in the area for over 20 years in local competitions as well as singing the anthem for sporting events all over Ontario.  Her main focus is Pop, Rock and Musical Theatre
 

  Zebulun Barnow: Guitar, Bass, Drums

Zebulun started teaching with his educational presentations in the Chicago public school system. He continued at School of Rock in Chicago and directed shows there including Freedom Rock, Black Sabbath, and U2.  Before moving to Belleville he played with the Blue Man Group, and ran the Tom Watts tribute show B1gT1me
 

HOW DO OUR  LESSONS WORK?

Our music lessons are half-hour, weekly, one-on-one sessions that are held at our in-store teaching facilities. Our lessons are run on a monthly automated billing period. 

HOW MUCH DO LESSONS COST?

We charge monthly for lessons.  The amounts charged take into account the number of weeks,  Holidays and closures with the exception of the Christmas break.  The closure at Christmas will be deducted automatically from December Lessons.

Lessons are $113.00 Monthly

**Monday Lessons are $108.00 Monthly to Compensate for Statutory Holiday closures

Automatic billing occurs on the 1st of every month.

WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE A LESSON?

We do not offer makeups for student absences. Any store closures will be posted on our social media, and makeup lessons will be scheduled in a timely manner.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY LESSONS?

To cancel lessons, email your store below. All cancellations MUST be made by the 15th of the month prior to prevent billing for the following month.
